If you could live forever, would you?

Posted on Feb 2nd, 2009 by Sarah : Music Maker Sarah
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 26, 2009:

That depends on how healthy I would be. Would I be able to move around? Would I be able to see the world as it changed? More importantly, would I be able to see it, hear it, understand it, feel it?

Looking at my life now and how relatively well-adjusted and optimistic I am, I am not particularly fearful of being an ornery old woman. But there is always  a chance of Alzheimer's, head injury, some other disease or disability that will prevent me from experiencing the world as it is. If that were to happen, there would be no point in living forever or even another 100 years. What would be the difference? If you cannot see the change, what's the point of living through it?

Like most of my answers to these kinds of questions, there is nothing clear-cut, there is no possibility of objectivity.
